Draconian and Knights PRINTING DATE

Hey Everyone,

I finally have some news from Legends to update about. The Draconian, Knights and Euchre Decks will be finished printing on a February 13th!

We beat the Chinese New Year for printing, but it's still up in the air if we'll get on a boat before the long holiday that starts on February 16th. Legends is now trying to coordinate with two different forwarders, trying to get us a spot on the boat during this busy season for the area. I'll keep you updated on whether they succeed or not. If we don't make it on a boat before the holiday, they'll have to wait until the Chinese New Year celebration is finished up (I think it goes for two weeks).

Even if we don't make the pre-holiday boat, we're still in great shape for fulfillment in April (March if we do make it on the pre-holiday boat).

Physical Proofs arrived - LOTS OF PHOTOS!!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope all of you had a great Christmas!

The long awaited Physical Proofs arrived a couple days ago. For the most part, everything looks great!!

The 2 Knights Decks and the Draconian Wight Deck are fully APPROVED for printing.

The Euchre Cards has an extra Jack of Hearts that needs swapped out with a Ten of Hearts (on the Red half), and the printer forgot to print the PANTONE Grey with the Draconian Wildfire Tuck Box (the scales and "Draconian" name should look similar to the same elements on the Draconian Brimstone Tuck that's in the below photos). The Grey Pantone uses the same art / plate as the Wildfire's UV Spot Ink, so it's technically already prepared. Lawrence let me know that they also found a lighter Green FOIL, so we'll switch to that.

The fixes needed are very minor, so I hope it won't delay getting us on the Print Schedule for very long.

Below are a bunch of photos I took of the Tuck Box and Card Stock Physical Proofs. The Knights Tucks are SUPER COOL in person!!! And the Draconian Wight Tuck is gorgeous!! The Wildfire Tuck actually looks cool without the PANTONE Grey, so I thought for a brief second or two to run without it. But I think it needs the Grey to give it the necessary color contrast.

Also, the Knights Coin is finished and ready to go. It's pretty sweet!

BackerKit Invites SENT - Draconian WIGHT and Midnight EUCHRE

Hey Everyone,

First, news with production's progress. It looks like the Physical Proofs for all 5 Decks should be ready in a week or two. That's great news! We may end up being a month or two ahead of the estimated shipping date!! The Knights Coin is also in production. They should be finished up in early January.

I finished up the BackerKits a few days ago, and just sent them off to everyone. And yes, you did see correctly up top, there are a total of FIVE Decks in production! I was very busy finishing up the two other Decks during the campaign's funding period. The two new Decks are available as Add-Ons in each Backer's BackerKit setup. I know a lot of us of money this month for the holidays, so I want to assure you that the BackerKits will not be locked down until mid-January at the earliest. So mid-January or later is when any new purchases within BackerKit will be charged for. Anyways, below is info and images detailing the two new Decks!

DRACONIAN WIGHT DECK ($9 / $11 INT. per Deck - $90 / $102 INT. per Brick):

I don't want to throw out any spoilers, so I won't go into specifics. When I saw the last couple episodes of this past season's Game of Thrones, I was INSTANTLY inspired to design one last Draconian Deck! The Draconian WIGHT Deck is the FINAL in the line of Draconians. The Tuck Box will be printed on a White Matte paper stock, and it will incorporate design elements in UV Spot Ink, Pantone Grey, Pantone Black and Blue FOIL. The WIGHT'S Cards utilize a light Grey background with Blue fissures throughout.

MIDNIGHT EUCHRE DECK: ($7 / $9 INT. per Deck - $68 / $80 INT. per Brick):

The Midnight EUCHRE Deck is a custom Deck that's meant for playing the popular game, Euchre. Euchre is VERY popular in Indiana, where I live, so I've wanted to do a design like this for a while now. We even have Euchre Tournaments in my neighborhood! Since Euchre only uses the 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of each suit, I was able to include 2 complete Euchre Decks within the 1 Tuck Box (1 Red Back and 1 Blue Back). For the Euchre Faces Uncut below, the Red Back is paired with the bottom 3 columns - the Blue Back is paired with the top 3 columns.

Digital Proofs APPROVED

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to keep you all updated on how Production is going. Yesterday Legends sent over, and I Approved, the Digital Proofs for the Decks and 3-Deck Case! They're now starting work on the Physical Proofs. Those should arrive sometime in December.

Also, I should be sending out the BackerKits around the end of this month. I'm still setting it up, and it's a little more complicated than usual. There's a couple cool surprises I'll have in the Draconian and Knights' BackerKit!

Hey Everyone,

Well, we did it!! The last couple weeks were a little slow, but that happens with a 30+ days project sometimes. All of the Print Files for the Decks and 3-Deck Case have been with Legends for a couple weeks now. I heard from them that the Digital Proofs should be ready in a week or two. That's great news!

For anyone who had problems with their Credit Cards, please take care of the issue as soon as possible. Kickstarter only allows for a short time to fit it before dropping you as a Backer.

As usual with any of my projects, I'll keep you fully-updated throughout the production process.

BHARATA TAROT PLAYING CARDS:

The Bharata Tarot Playing Cards deck is inspired by traditional Indian folk art forms, Kishangarh paintings,  miniature paintings & Tarot and made in collaboration with one of the top Indian illustrators Ishan Trivedi. The project also includes a second deck titled "Bharata Tarot (Major Arcana) Expansion Pack" for everyone who likes to have a full 78 cards tarot deck set with them.

Bharata is India's original name, and the whole deck is an ode to the stories of Kings & Queens in childhood stories, art forms & history. It is one of the most beautiful pieces of work coming in the form of a fully custom illustrated playing card deck!
